Job brief

  • The Solutions Architect (Own IP) at ActivEdge Technologies Ltd is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing proprietary IT solutions that address complex business requirements. This role involves ensuring that the solutions align with the company’s strategic objectives, providing technical leadership, and maintaining architectural integrity. The Solutions Architect will collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and support teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions, while driving innovation and managing attendant risks.

Reporting Line

  • Direct Supervisor: Chief Technology Officer
  • Secondary reporting line: Head, Digital Business and Innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design and Architecture:

  • Lead the architecture and design of scalable and reliable proprietary IT solutions.
  • Ensure architectural integrity and consistency across all proprietary IT projects.
  • Create and maintain architectural documentation and standards for own IP solutions.

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical direction and support to development teams working on proprietary solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for proprietary solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Product and Content Development

  • Support all aspects of the product development lifecycle, including product definition, prototyping, usability testing, UX/UI, backlog management, documentation, release planning, and project schedule management

Formal Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and SCRUM are advantageous.
