Job Description

  • The Subsurface Data Analyst & Admin Assistant will oversee the development and utilisation of subsurface data, information, and documents, employing best in class data management procedures, tools, and processes to ensure data quality assurance, efficient data storage, retrieval, and data governance.
  • S/He will embed minimum data management standards and policies, conduct data analysis and troubleshooting while ensuring the maintenance of data security and confidentiality.
  • The data Analyst will work within the Corporate Subsurface and Asset Teams managing a range of subsurface information and data types across the different assets of the company.
  • S/He manages and facilitates timely access to quality assured information and data for users, and is required to work with many types of data including seismic, well, spatial, production data, etc.

Requirements

  • A university degree or equivalent with 3 years relevant experience (and relevant IT certifications). Skills in the following: Data management, Data analysis, and Database administration.
  • Must have a broad understanding of the E&P business to effectively support the teams in studies, exploration, operations, and production activities.
  • Use of data analysis tools and data management software (Python, Oracle, SQL, etc.)
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of subsurface operations and/or the oil and gas industry.
