The Dangote Cement Transport is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Sustainability Analyst to enhance our commitment to sustainability across our operations. The Sustainability Analyst will be responsible for assessing the environmental and social impacts of our activities, ensuring compliance with sustainability regulations, and supporting initiatives that promote responsible practices within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of our sustainability performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data related to environmental metrics, sustainability practices, and community impacts.
- Collaborate with different departments to develop sustainability strategies and initiatives.
- Support reporting efforts in adherence to local and global sustainability standards.
- Engage with stakeholders to promote awareness of sustainability objectives and practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, risks, and opportunities related to sustainability.
- Assist in the development of training programs for employees on sustainability practices.
- Contribute to environmental impact assessments and reporting frameworks.
- Perform various administrative tasks to support the sustainability team.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sustainability analysis, environmental management, or related areas.
- Experience in data analysis, reporting, and project management.
- Knowledge of sustainability reporting standards and frameworks (e.g., GRI, ISO 14001, etc.).
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
