Role Description

  • The Technical Sales Specialist for Projects is responsible for driving business growth by identifying, prospecting, and closing sales opportunities in software development projects.
  • This role requires a strong understanding of software solutions and the ability to tailor offerings to meet the unique technological needs of businesses across various sectors.
  • The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical teams and clients, ensuring solutions align with customer requirements and deliver value.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Business Development:

  • Identify and target potential clients requiring software development services.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets.
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospective projects and manage leads effectively.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture relationships with business decision-makers.
  • Conduct needs assessments to understand client challenges and propose tailored  solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and technical demonstrations.

Technical Consultation:

  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand solution capabilities.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable client-focused benefits.
  • Provide guidance to clients on the adoption of cutting-edge technology to solve their operational problems.

Project Coordination and Handover

  • Work closely with the project management and development teams to ensure client requirements are communicated effectively.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure client satisfaction and timely delivery.
  • Act as the main point of contact during the pre-sales and onboarding phases.

Market Research and Reporting:

  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, client feedback, and market dynamics.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of new projects acquired.
  • Client satisfaction and retention rate.
  • Conversion rate of leads to successful sales.
  • Revenue generated from closed deals.
  • Accuracy in delivering solutions aligned with client needs.

Preferred Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in technical sales or software development sales.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and project lifecycle.

  • Ability to identify client needs and propose customized solutions.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales software for managing leads and tracking performance.
