Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Telecom BSS Solutions Specialist to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and business configuration of Business Support Systems (BSS), including Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Billing, Interconnect, and other related modules.
  • A strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in Tecnotree BSS solutions in addition to good knowledge in microservice technology.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of telecom BSS operations, system configurations, and troubleshooting, ensuring efficient and reliable support for business processes and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
BSS Operations Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of BSS modules, including CRM, Billing, Interconnect, and other related systems, ensuring smooth functionality and service availability.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent service disruptions.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system health checks, backups, and performance tuning, to ensure optimal operation of BSS modules.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to manage system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.

Business Configuration:

  • Configure and maintain business rules, workflows, and processes within BSS modules to support new products, services, and tariff plans.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand configuration requirements and ensure accurate implementation in CRM, Billing, Interconnect, and other systems.
  • Manage and update customer profiles, billing rules, pricing plans, and interconnect agreements within the Tecnotree BSS solution.
  • Ensure configurations are aligned with business policies and regulatory requirements, conducting regular audits to maintain compliance.

Microservice Technology Operations:

  • Manage the operations of microservice-based BSS architectures, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Monitor microservice deployments, containerization, and orchestration environments, addressing any operational issues that arise.
  • Work with DevOps and IT teams to ensure continuous integration and delivery processes are functioning efficiently for BSS modules.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on microservices to ensure they are operating effectively and securely.

Incident and Problem Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for BSS-related incidents, managing and resolving issues to restore services as quickly as possible.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring problems and implement long-term solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Maintain incident logs and problem records, documenting resolutions and lessons learned to improve future incident response.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including IT, customer service, and network operations, to coordinate resolution efforts and communicate status updates.

System Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Utilize monitoring tools and dashboards to proactively monitor the health and performance of BSS modules, identifying potential issues before they impact operations.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, incidents, and changes, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Analyze system data and metrics to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for optimization.

User Support and Training:

  • Provide second-line support for BSS-related issues, assisting users with system functionality, configurations, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for internal teams on BSS modules and operational processes, ensuring they are equipped to manage and support the system effectively.
  • Create and maintain user guides, operational manuals, and other documentation to support ongoing operations and user training.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all BSS configurations, processes, and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Participate in audits and assessments to demonstrate system compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in telecom BSS operations, including CRM, Billing, Interconnect, and other related modules.
  • Strong experience with Tecnotree BSS solutions or similar telecom BSS platforms.
  • Proven experience in business configuration and operational support for telecom BSS systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of telecom BSS operations, system integration, and data management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Tecnotree BSS solutions or related telecom platforms.
  • Good knowledge with microservice technology, containerization, and orchestration in a telecom environment.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices for service management.
