About the job

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Lead to join our dynamic team.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and executing automated testing frameworks for software applications.
  • As the Automation Test Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of automation testers, coordinating testing activities, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through automated testing processes. This is a contract position of 3-6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of automation testers, providing guidance and support in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance engineers, to define test automation requirements and strategies.
  • Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable automated testing frameworks and scripts using industry-standard tools and technologies.
  • Execute automated test cases, analyze test results, and report defects to the development team, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Define and maintain test data, environments, and configurations required for automated testing activities.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing automated testing processes and frameworks to enhance efficiency, coverage, and reliability.
  • Coordinate with project managers to prioritize testing activities, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software releases.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and best practices in test automation, software development methodologies, and quality assurance techniques.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess risks, identify areas for automation, and drive automation initiatives across the organization.
  • Provide regular progress updates, metrics, and reports on automated testing activities to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience of atleast 5 - 8 years in automation testing roles, with a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or similar.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript for test automation scripting.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams of automation testers in an Agile development environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, ASTQB) and/or test automation tools/frameworks are desirable but not required.
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
