User Experience Research Manager at Transsion

Transsion Holdings (Chinese: ä¼ éŸ³æŽ§è‚¡; pinyin: ChuányÄ«n KònggÇ”) is a Chinese manufacturer of mobile phones based in Shenzhen. It was the largest smartphone manufacturer by sales in Africa in 2017, and also sells mobile phones in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Latin America. Its brands include phone brands such as Itel, Tecno, Infinix; after-sales service brand Carlcare; and accessories brand Oraimo. It manufactures phones in China, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Bangladesh and recently in India.

RESPONSIBILITIES

MONITOR AND BE IN ADVANCE OF MARKET MOVEMENTS

  1. Build research framework and process for different mobile products considering local practice.
  2.  Bring relevant and crucial knowledge about our users finding opportunities to win on markets where we play, provide in-depth analysis of the market, our industry and competitors.
  3. Develop benchmarks for communication, launches, business problems that will help markets to find synergies.
  4. Support in the development of analytically rich solutions and implementation of emerging tools that help to diagnose problems and anticipate what could be improved moving forward.

CREATE A LOCAL USER MINDSET

  1. Be perceived as excellence in users and market understanding.
  2. Synthesize multiple sources of user feedback, user data, and operational metrics to transform data into actionable recommendations that make real impact.
  3. Standardize key researches/ process (product test, UX, communication) and outputs.
  4. Develop and accelerate NPS System maturity by closely collaborating with business teams on an on-going basis.
  5. Understand current and potential opportunities for product and image.
  6. Recommend marketing targets according to historical data and support digital teams on media return understanding.
  7. Lead regional reporting to democratize insights that enable the organization to gain deeper understanding of user needs & irritants.

QUALIFICATION

  1. Strong analytical capability and problem solving skills able to connect different sources of information to drive powerful insights, including but not limited to market information, industry highlights, primary research and product data.
  2. Experienced in leading, designing and executing end-to-end user research projects, and interpreting a mix of qualitative and quantitative data, encompassing all phases of research along the product’s life cycle continuum, including U&A, segmentation, UX study, NPS and product lifecycle management activities.
  3. Experienced in analyzing and interpreting a mix of qualitative and quantitative data.
  4. Understand mobile internet business, such as mobile gaming, social, content, tools, etc.
  5. 5+ years working experience in UX research and design, Market Research, Digital Experience, Data Analysis and Project Management.
  6. 3 years+ work experience with a market research/data analytics agency (e.g. Kantar, Ipsos, Nielsen, etc.) and familiar with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD.
  7. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  8. Solid interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work with a multi-national team, and lead through influence to create alignment.
  9. Ability to manage external agencies.
  10. Bachelor´s degree is required preferably in Marketing, psychology, industry design or engineering. MBA is a plus.

MUST HAVE

  1. Working knowledge of data mining, and advanced statistical methods.
  2. Hands-on experience with statistical analysis software e.g SPSS, Excel, Adobe Analytics.
  3. Proficiency in at least one data visualization tool such as Power BI and Tableau.
  4. Familiar with customer experience & feedback platforms, e.g. Qualtrics / Medallia, Survey Monkey, Lark.
