Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting.
- Ultimately, as a Photo / Video Editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story.
Responsibilities
- Snap and edit pictures/videos
- Manipulate and edit pictures/video pieces in a way that is visible and audible to the audience
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidate should have a Degree in Film Studies, Cinematography or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a video editor.
- Proficient in editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Light works, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
- Must presently be a video editor or equivalent position

- Knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
- Creative mind, writing and storytelling skills
