Nile University currently has over 40 undergraduate programmes and more than 50 postgraduate programmes spread across eight best[1]in-class faculties, in the College of Health Sciences, Law, Science, Computing Studies, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Management Sciences, and Arts & Social Sciences.

We are currently looking to engage a highly competent and result-oriented Videographer with strong personal & professional integrity to join our dynamic workforce.

Responsibilities

The Videographer will be responsible for producing promotional, educational, and event-based videos to internal and external audiences while overseeing video production services for the Marketing & PR Team as well as manage the videography process for quality and efficiency.

He/she is expected to;

  • Generate ideas for the University’s video projects for the Department of Marketing and Public Relations.
  • Execute shoot on site/on location including audio, live video feed, camera operation and talent directions. Additionally handles assignments requiring special lighting, multiple locations, creativity, special audio needs, custom graphics, and animation. 
  • Assist with curating social media content for events, stand-alone campaigns, and other projects.
  • Determine content and format of productions, operates editing equipment, and implements a variety of positive and negative feedback from various sources as necessary
  • Produce educational, instructional, or event-based videos as requested by the college community including defining objectives, shooting in studio and remote locations, conversion of existing video formats for video editing.
  • Direct multi camera Marketing and Communications studio productions; supervise cameras, sound, character generator, teleprompter, and floor director positions during a Marketing and Communications production.
  • Create promotional clips using approved footage, Uploads videos to the Web, the Marketing Media Library and video productions archive.
  • Liaise with the Digital Analyst and other Marketing team to maintain the University’s video gallery, YouTube channel, Facebook, and Instagram pages.
  • Ensure that production equipment is technologically up-to-date and meets the needs of the department by researching, evaluating, and recommending equipment purchases.

Qualification & Experience

  • Relevant University Degree or its equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ videography working experience.
  • A strong commercial videography portfolio that demonstrates expertise in applied techniques and a working knowledge of videotape production, as well as a thorough knowledge of audio, video and multimedia hardware and software is required.
