Our client, a Media and PR company in Ikoyi is looking to hire an Account Director.

The Account Director is responsible for managing client relationships, leading the development and execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving account growth by overseeing a team to deliver projects that meet client needs and objectives, often acting as the primary point of contact for key accounts; their key duties include strategizing, pitching ideas, managing budgets, and maintaining profitability across assigned client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and acting as the primary point of contact.

Strategic Planning:

  • Developing comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with client goals, including campaign concepts, creative briefs, and media plans.

Team Leadership:

  • Managing and motivating a team of account managers, creatives, and other agency staff to deliver high-quality work.

Pitching and New Business Development:

  • Participating in new business pitches, presenting proposals, and securing new clients.

Budget Management:

  • Overseeing project budgets, ensuring profitability, and managing financial aspects of client accounts.

Campaign Execution:

  • Overseeing the implementation of marketing campaigns, monitoring progress, and making adjustments as needed.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Providing clients with regular updates on campaign performance, including data analysis and insights to demonstrate ROI.

Creative Direction:

  • Collaborating with creative teams to ensure campaign concepts align with client objectives and brand identity. 

Problem-Solving:

  • Identifying and addressing client concerns, resolving issues, and finding solutions to challenges.
