Job Description

  • We are seeking a passionate and curious AI Data Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key role in developing and implementing machine learning models, analyzing large datasets, and extracting valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • You will be responsible for the entire data analysis lifecycle, from data acquisition and wrangling to model development, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Sproxil has over 2 TB of complex supply chain data from highly-fragmented markets, and has directly impacted the lives of over 30 million people. Your work will be meaningful.

Responsibilities
Design and implement machine learning models for various business use cases, including but not limited to:

  • Predictive modeling: supply chain product velocity, impact of business credit terms, consumer demand forecasting
  • Classification: fraud detection, anomaly detection, image recognition
  • Clustering: customer segmentation, market research, product recommendation
  • Perform data wrangling and cleaning tasks, ensuring data quality for analysis
  • Develop and maintain data schemas and pipelines for efficient data ingestion and processing
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
  • Build and maintain data visualization dashboards and reports to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in AI and machine learning research
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and business analysts, to translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Document and present findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical concepts
  • Proven experience with Python programming language and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for data-driven decision making
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to work and live in Nigeria

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with deep learning models and natural language processing (NLP)
  • Experience with building and deploying production-ready machine learning models
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical supply chain in Nigeria
  • Past work experience on donor-funded projects.
