Job Purpose

  • Cordros Capital Limited needs an Application Support Specialist who is responsible for providing exceptional technical support for our software applications. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for users experiencing technical issues, ensuring that problems are resolved efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with development teams, system administrators, and end-users to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application-related issues. Your role will also involve monitoring application performance, implementing updates, and ensuring the overall stability and reliability of the software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for software applications and resolve user issues.
  • Monitor application performance and ensure system stability.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and create technical guides for users.
  • Train users on new features and updates of the software.
  • Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to enhance user experience.
  • Implement software updates and patches as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and security standards.
  • Work closely with Development teams to align technical deliverables with business goals.

Job Requirements
Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A Second Degree and/or Completion of Relevant Professional Certification will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years' proven experience in application support or a similar role.

Key Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge
The incumbent must have proficiency knowledge in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle and ITIL processes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with database management and SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with product management and end-to-end project lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks for ensuring application reliability and performance.

The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:
