Aldreda Fields Ltd (AFL) is licensed by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to provide and operate Open Access Metropolitan Fibre Cable Network Services in Nigeria. Our objective is to deepen broadband penetration in Lagos through the provision of an Open Access fibre-optic network infrastructure.
Description
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure high availability and reliability
- Maintain service logs of daily activity to show proper documentation of system configurations, processes, network configuration changes and procedures to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Assist in the design, configure, management, maintain, troubleshooting and support servers, routers, switches and the entire network infrastructure, including firewalls and authentication mechanisms to ensure that only legitimate traffic reaches the servers.
- Install, configure and maintain operating systems, software applications and hardware components
- Maintain and optimise the health and efficiency of all AFL network edge device systems
- Facilitate purchase and tracking of IT equipment, software and licences
- Install and configure software and hardware tools required for proper network maintenance
- Design and implement secure network architectures for WAN by selecting the appropriate security measures such as firewalls, VPNs and intrusion detection systems to protect company’s data during transmission
- Configure routers, switches, Unified Threat Management (UTM) systems and other network devices to enforce security policies, access control, traffic filtering, and prevent unauthorized access and data breaches. To take charge of assessing the damage, isolating affecting parts of the network and initiating a recovery process in the event of a breach.
- Evaluate and recommend WAN products to improve network performance
