3Line commenced business in 2007 with the primary aim of using technology to make financial services easily available to the financially excluded. Our mission is to operate an end-to-end electronic payment system which allows organizations, government agencies, and individuals collect, bank, and transfer or withdraw money electronically anytime, anywhere, making money safe and secure at all times. To do this, we open and operate secure platforms that connect organizations with people, introduce tailor-made products and services that meet the needs of those they serve by design functions and locations, and educate the financially excluded on steps to take to achieve financial freedom.
Responsibilities
- Write clean and scalable codes to develop functional applications.
- Design and improve the maintainability of the code base through innovative design.
- Apply technical skills in building amazingly exciting world-class products.
- Constantly communicate with diverse internal and external stakeholders in embracing agile practices.
- Seek to understand how the business work to identify risks (in code, features, and design)
- Diagnose complex issues across various levels of the stack.
- Understand the business context deeply and leverage engineering knowledge to propose creative solutions to problems.
- Work collaboratively to complete projects, showcase progress, and address problems.
- Constantly improve to keep pace with new innovations and technologies.
- Work on other tasks as assigned by the Engineering Leadership
Qualifications
- 4 years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role
- BSc/BTech in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- 2+ years of Java (latest versions), Spring boot and related frameworks/systems
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
- Knowledge of Microservices architecture on AWS, CI/CD and tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and Object Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks (e.g. Hibernate).
- Ability to learn new languages and technologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
