Role Description

  • This is a full-time on-site role for a Back End Developer in Abuja.
  • The back-end developer will be responsible for developing and implementing server-side components, integrating data storage solutions, managing the interchange of data between the server and the users, and implementing security and data protection measures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
  • 0 - 4 years work experience.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one Back End programming language such as Python, Java or PHP, and experience with associated frameworks like Flask, Django, and Laravel
  • Experience with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, or Postgres and experience with database design, architecture, and implementation
  • Experience and understanding of RESTful API development, web servers, and caching
  • Experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
  • Excellent understanding of Agile software development methodologies and tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence
  • Ability to work in a team and excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Front End frameworks like React or Angular is a plus
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices is a plus.
