Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and strategic IT Manager to oversee our company’s technology infrastructure and ensure all systems run smoothly, securely, and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing IT-related activities, as well as leading the IT team to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including network, servers, hardware (especially printers), and software systems.
- Ensure data security, backup, and disaster recovery plans are in place and effective.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team, providing training and support as needed.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and network infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions promptly.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve business operations.
- Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with relevant IT policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to staff across all departments.
- Must be conversant with quickbooks and other retail and inventory solutions.
- Manage and maintain email systems (especially Microsoft Outlook backend, including configurations, user management, and troubleshooting).
- Oversee and support QuickBooks Point of Sale (POS) systems, ensuring smooth operation, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining data accuracy across stores.
- Manage and maintain the company’s website, including updates, performance monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
- Handle and manage the company’s online store presence on platforms such as Jumia and Konga, including product listings, updates, and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, databases, and cybersecurity practices.
- Experience managing IT projects, teams, and budgets.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Outlook (backend management), QuickBooks POS, and website management.
- Experience managing e-commerce platforms such as Jumia and Konga is required.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Must be conversant with quickbooks and other retail and inventory solutions.
- Certifications like ITIL, PMP, Cisco, Microsoft, or CompTIA are a plus.
