Backend Developer at Uridium Technologies

Uridium Technologies Limited is an IT Solutions delivery company that was set up and incorporated under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 1990, to bridge this gap by providing IT and Infrastructure solutions and services to all sectors of the Nigerian economy including FSI, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Government departments & educational institutions etc.

• This role will work directly with other engineers to expand and optimize their financial systems. We're looking for someone who's passionate about their craft, eager to grow, and excited about building efficient, well-architected systems that move money reliably across borders.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Go to support our multi-currency remittance platform.
• Build and optimize integrations with payment providers, banking systems, and financial APIs to ensure seamless cross-border transactions.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code that prioritizes performance and reliability in a financial context.
• Collaborate with other engineers and teams to scale our existing infrastructure and introduce best practices as the platform grows.
• Debug and resolve issues across the payment processing pipeline while maintaining system stability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our engineering standards and documentation.
• Take ownership of specific features or system components and drive them from design through deployment.

Expected Deliverables / KPIs

• Successfully integrate and maintain new payment providers and currency corridors to expand our service coverage. Deliver optimized, production-ready code with measurable performance improvements in transaction processing times. Maintain 99.9%+ uptime for critical payment processing services. Demonstrate continuous learning and skill development in Go, distributed systems, and financial technology. Participate actively in team knowledge sharing and documentation efforts.
