Responsibilities
Design and deliver a comprehensive curriculum for backend development, covering languages and frameworks such as Python, Node.js, Java, SQL, and API development.
Use accessibility tools and screen-reader-compatible resources to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
Provide one-on-one and group instruction tailored to the unique needs and learning styles of blind individuals.
Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere to help students build confidence in their technical skills.
Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Collaborate with accessibility experts to ensure course materials are fully accessible.
Stay updated on accessibility best practices and assistive technologies for visually impaired learners.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as developer, with expertise in languages like HTML, CSS, Python, JavaScript, and PHP
Familiarity with databases, API design, and server-side programming.
Knowledge of accessibility tools and screen-reader-compatible coding environments (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, or VoiceOver).
Previous teaching or mentoring experience would be an added advantage
Strong communication skills, patience, and a passion for teaching.
