Job Summary
- We are seeking a mid-to-senior Backend Developer with strong experience in PHP (Laravel framework) to support the build of financial and compliance-focused applications.
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable designing secure, multi-tenant architectures, RESTful APIs, and data validation engines, and will work closely with the frontend developer to deliver a production-ready SaaS platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable backend systems.
- Develop and manage RESTful APIs for frontend and third-party integrations.
- Implement data validation, encryption, and audit logging.
- Ensure database integrity and performance for multi-user environments.
- Collaborate with the frontend developer on API endpoints and workflows.
- Participate in testing, deployment, and documentation.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of backend development with PHP/Laravel.
- Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL or similar RDBMS.
- Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
- Familiarity with Git version control, CI/CD, and agile workflows.
- Experience with compliance-driven or financial systems.
Compensation
Hourly rate pay of N1,800 to N2,500 per hour, depending on proof of expertise and experience. Weekly billable time is set at maximum of40 hours.
- Hours Commitment: Developer is expected to work up to 40 hours per week, with billing capped at 40 hours per week.
- Work Mode: Developer may work flexibly and remotely but must provide daily timesheets, weekly milestone updates, and mandatory GitHub commits. Developer must also abide strictlywith approved Vi-M processes and guides.
