Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in .NET development to take a lead role in building and maintaining our core banking system.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, distributed applications, ensuring high performance and reliability to support our growing customer base. Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of our core banking system using .NET technologies.
- Architect and implement scalable and distributed solutions to handle high traffic and ensure system reliability.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in .NET development, guiding the team in best practices and architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and frontend engineers, to align technical solutions with business requirements.
- Optimize and enhance the performance of the core banking system to handle large-scale traffic and meet service level objectives.
- Conduct thorough performance analysis and implement improvements to ensure the system's responsiveness.
- Implement and enforce security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of financial data.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards in the banking sector.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, APIs, and deployment processes.
Requirements
- First Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related courses (Must have completed NYSC)
- Proven experience (5+ years) in backend development using .NET technologies.
- Strong expertise in building and maintaining distributed systems.
- Experience with high-traffic and high-availability applications, preferably in the financial sector.
- Proficiency in database design and optimization, with experience in SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of security principles and best practices in financial applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in the finance or fintech sector is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail.
- Professional fluency in English is vital, both written and spoken.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and contribute positively to a team.
