Lytup Power Systems Inc is building the most efficient, safe and sustainable residential we battery energy storage solutions based on lithium-ion , and battery thermal management system (BTMS) technologies. Our vision is to electrify Sub-Saharan Africa and eventually other regions of the world struggling to access power by providing small and medium battery systems coupled with PV technology that possess a lifespan of up to fifteen (15) years. Our immediate goal is to provide Africa, starting in Nigeria with smart battery energy solutions that can deliver reliable 24-hour power.
The Role
- We are looking for a Mid to Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in Go (Golang) to join our dynamic team on a 3 months contract.
- The ideal candidate will be instrumental in building backend servers and applications that are robust, scalable, and crucial to our mission of providing smart energy solutions. Experience should be more than 3 years.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain our backend servers and applications using Go (Golang), with a focus on high performance, versatility, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement and work with web sockets and MQTT for efficient and reliable asynchronous communication.
- Utilize ENT as the ORM of choice for effective database management and operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software.
- Contribute to the architectural and design decisions, aiming for the optimization of our battery energy storage solutions.
- Ensure code quality, stability, and scalability through peer reviews, unit testing, and automated testing practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Backend Engineer, with a strong background in Go (Golang).
- Experience in building backend servers, preferably with experience in Gin or similar Go frameworks.
- Proficient in working with ENT for ORM and a strong understanding of database management principles.
- Previous experience with hardware systems will be an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with web socket communication using MQTT.
- Familiarity with cloud services, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a must.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative and analytical approach to tackling challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
