Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Brand Manager to lead the strategic development and execution of branding initiatives for our Hair and Hair Care product lines. The ideal candidate is passionate about beauty, understands the Nigerian market (especially female consumers), and will drive strong brand presence, consumer engagement, and commercial growth. This is an exciting opportunity to shape one of Nigeria’s leading hair brands from the heart of Lagos.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute brand strategy for the full portfolio of hair care products (extensions, treatments, shampoos, conditioners, styling products, etc.).
- Build and maintain a consistent brand image across all channels – retail, digital, influencer, and experiential.
- Collaborate with product development, sales, and marketing teams to launch new products and campaigns.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and consumer needs specific to the Nigerian hair and beauty space.
- Lead and coordinate photo shoots, packaging design, influencer campaigns, and in-store activation for brand visibility.
- Oversee content creation and storytelling strategies across social media, traditional media, and advertising.
- Develop strong trade marketing plans to support distributors, wholesalers, and retail outlets.
- Manage brand budgets, forecast demand, and track ROI of campaigns.
- Monitor and report on brand performance (awareness, engagement, sales uplift, etc.) and adapt strategy accordingly.
- Build relationships with stylists, salons, and hair influencers to grow organic advocacy and loyalty.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4–7 years of brand management experience, preferably in the beauty or FMCG sector.
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian beauty/hair market, especially consumer behavior in Lagos and other urban markets.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and visual branding skills.
- Proficiency with tools like Google Analytics, social media dashboards, and CRM/ERP systems.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience working with a hair extension brand, beauty brand, or cosmetics/FMCG company.
- Relationships with salons, stylists, and influencers in Lagos and other major cities.
- Experience working with both premium and mass-market products.
