  • The ideal candidate is a master storyteller and strategic thinker, adept at weaving Alerzo's mission and achievements into stories that build trust and deepen connections with customers and partners.
  • As the Brand Storyteller, you will take ownership of our brand strategy effort —crafting narratives that drive engagement, inspire action, and position Alerzo as a trusted leader in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a cohesive storytelling strategy that effectively communicates Alerzo's mission, vision, and impact in Nigeria's informal retail sector.
  • Maintain and manage an editorial calendar to produce high-quality content, including blog posts, whitepapers, thought leadership articles, social media content, case studies, and video scripts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate and oversee story collection and production processes.
  • Study Alerzo's products and services to translate technical details into compelling benefits that resonate with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and investors.
  • Partner with leadership to craft personalized narratives that position the CEO and key executives as influential thought leaders in the industry.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to embed storytelling into campaigns, events, and product launches.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry publications to ensure consistent, positive coverage of Alerzo's brand, leadership, and products.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of storytelling initiatives by analyzing engagement metrics, media impressions, and audience feedback.
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from various sources to identify actionable insights for enhancing storytelling strategies and outputs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in storytelling, brand marketing, or strategic communications.
  • Proven track record of using compelling brand storytelling and leadership strategies to drive business results.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
