The Institution was established in the late 1980s as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) by Godwin Ehigiamusoe in response to the effects of the implementation of the Structural Adjustment Programme (SAP) in 1986. In 2010, LAPO MfB obtained the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to operate as a state microfinance bank and in 2012, it got an approval as a national microfinance bank. Key Responsibilities:
- Process Documentation & Mapping:
- Assist in documenting current ("as-is") business processes, creating process maps, workflows, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain a repository of process documentation.
- Data Gathering & Analysis:
- Collect data related to business processes through interviews, surveys, and other methods.
- Assist in analyzing process performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Process Modeling & Simulation:
- Support senior analysts in modeling future ("to-be") processes, using BPM tools. Specify the tools used by the organization.
- Assist in simulating process changes to evaluate their potential impact.
- Requirements Gathering Support:
- Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements for new or improved processes.
- Support the translation of business requirements into functional specifications.
- Stakeholder Support:
- Assist senior analysts in communicating with stakeholders about process changes and improvements.
- Support stakeholder engagement activities.
- Testing & Implementation Support:
- Assist in testing process changes and ensuring they meet requirements.
- Support the implementation of process improvements, including training and communication.
- Reporting & Metrics Tracking:
- Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting on process performance.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the business process management team.
- Maintain process documentation and other records.
