Responsibilities
- Taking instructions from the director about the required mood, theme and feel of shots, and advising the director on what is feasible and what would work best creatively.
- Blocking with the director
- Communicating the blocking decisions with other camera operator(s) and gaffer so they can figure out camera movements and lighting requirements for the shoot.
- Reading and interpreting scripts to understand the story and vision
- Operating the camera, framing and composing shots.
Job Requirements
- The role is full-time.
- Must be able to adjust to flexible working hours (9 am-5 pm, Mondays to Fridays, and some nights or weekends when required).
- Must be willing to relocate to Osogbo, Osun State, as the roles are on-site.
- Must be a Christian and have proven integrity (2 reference letters will be required before appointment).
Skills and Abilities:
- Proven work experience as a DoP or similar role
- Understanding of visual storytelling, cinematography, film, digital video and the film production process.
- Understanding of lighting techniques, colour and shade.
