Job Description
- Set up CNC machines based on job specifications and blueprints.
- Load materials onto CNC machines and secure them properly for processing.
- Program CNC machines using computer software to execute cutting, drilling, shaping, or milling operations as per design requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implementation of new techniques, software to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality in CNC operations.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and identify any issues or malfunctions.
- Adjust machine settings (speed, feed, tooling) to optimize production quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshoot machine problems and make adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members, including designers, and production supervisors, to achieve production goals effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator in a furniture company
- HND or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in CNC machining is preferred
- Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and understanding CNC programming.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production instructions.
- Knowledge of different types of wood and materials used in furniture manufacturing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in workmanship.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues.
