JOB SUMMARY
CARE is seeking to engage a Communication and Advocacy Officer who will be responsible for developing and executing communication plan to promote the project, enhance community engagement, and ensure visibility of project activities. The officer will manage internal and external communications, document stories, and oversee content creation for digital and print materials related to the digital learning platform, GBV prevention, and VSLA activities
CARE recently launched the She Heals the World Framework, which focuses on supporting and empowering frontline health workers (FLHW). With intentional collaboration between programmatic and advocacy teams, CARE is addressing the most pressing needs of training, equipping, managing and incentivizing FLHWs. This strategy aims to improve the working conditions and livelihoods of FLHWs, as well as increase the overall health of communities and reduce the burden on existing health systems, ensuring that people get the care they need from trained and trusted healthcare workers.
As part of this initiative, CARE Nigeria is implementing the Enhancing Resilience in Frontline Community Healthcare (EnRiCH) Project to support capacity building and professional development of 2000 FLHWs in Katsina State through a digital learning platform, as well as motivation through empowerment groups and village savings and loans associations (VSLAs).
