Job Description

  • The Communication Manager is responsible for all marketing communications activities of the company.
  • The role will develop strategies and tactics to boost the company’s reputation and increase brand awareness through planned publicity campaigns and brand activities while deploying successful marketing campaigns to increase revenue and aid business growth.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage the Company’s corporate communicationand public relations with external parties in a manner that promotes good branding.
  • Create, plan and supervise the execution of publicity strategies and campaigns.
  • Develop marketing strategies for the company in line with company objectives.
  • Organize and attend events, seminars, trainings, exhibitions, and other industry enlightenment programs.
  • Ensure that the Company’s business and brand communication are distributed across the right channels and to targeted audiences in order to meet sales objectives.
  • Write and produce marketing brochures, presentations and press releases as may be required.
  • Promote and communicate brand values and ideologies to all stakeholders as may be required.
  • Manage the company’s digital media platforms to promote company’s brand, products and services.
  • Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels like content creation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, and performance analysis.
  • Produce valuable and engaging content for the company’s website to attract and convert our target groups.
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors.
  • Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely.
  • Track and measure result of all marketing and communication campaigns and advise management accordingly.
  • Working closely with design agencies and assisting with new product launches.
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing and corporate objectives.
  • Undertake market research on current trends in the industry and develop strategy to gain competitive advantage.
  • Facilitate trainings on Marketing Communications and related subjects to improve knowledge in the company.
  • Undertake other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Educational Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc / M.Sc. Degree in Marketing or related field.
  • Relevant post graduate (MBA, MSC) is preferred.
  • Relevant Professional certification is a plus.

Minimum Experience Required:

  • 15+ years work experience in similar role within a Brand or marketing agency is required.
  • Strong analytical and project management experience.
  • Hands-on experience with web analytics tools and ability to turn creative ideas into effective marketing projects.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate.
  • Experience in managing different media agencies/houses.

Training / Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing.
  • Project management/planning skills.
  • Copywriting.
  • High integrity, innovative and creative abilities.
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate.
  • Solid knowledge of web analytics tools and be able to turn creative ideas into effective advertising projects.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
