Job Details

Corporate Reputation

  • Develop an exceptional grasp of the business, its style and priorities, and closely cooperate with all relevant departments.
  • Assist in developing and executing marketing and PR plans in support of the corporate marketing strategy and    take responsibility for the implementation of plans with minimal supervision
  • Develop content for press releases, articles and news bulletins, with minimal editing from senior colleagues.
  • Help improve the company's media profile and positioning as well as monitoring reputation and  press mentions
  • Develop high-level media briefing documents for management, including pre-briefing meetings, speeches and presentations for corporate events and supports management on internal speaking platformswith a focus on      media opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of Communications &PR on the company’s reputation
  • Protect and enhance corporate reputation through crisis communications, media relations, and issues management.
  • Position senior leaders as thought leaders and industry experts through executive communications, speaking engagements, and media opportunities.

Internal Engagement

  • Develop and deliver regular comprehensive, clear, and accurate information through existing channels to ensure staff are well-informed about all company activities. 
  • Support management to communicate more effectively with staff by providing communication templates 
  • Develop and execute activities to keep employees engaged and build brand love and loyalty. 
  • Provide relevant cross-functional support to internal teams as required. 

External Communication

  • Manages corporate communications, including developing publications, articles, website and social media platform materials.
  • Manages communications with all externalstakeholders, including clientsand the media partners
  • Manages communication with investors and regulatory agencies to establish and maintain       positive relationships
  • Assist in organising and managing Arca’s participation at corporate events, trade shows, client events and initiatives, productlaunches, and marketingand advertising campaigns both  locally and internationally
  • Acts as a spokesperson for the company if required.
  • Provide a brief introduction to the company before press conferences, public events and seminars
  • Develop and sustain positive relationships with externalcommunications personnel

Corporate Social Responsibility

  • Manages the development, planning and executionof Corporate SocialResponsibility activities
  • Ensures advancement in Arca’s reputation concerning CSR initiatives
  • Monitors and evaluatesthe impact of CSR on the company’sreputation
  • Prepares andsubmits reports on CSR activities to Management.

Marketing Plans/Strategies

  • Provides support in the formulation and implementation of the overall marketing strategy/plan and budget.
  • Support internal teams in planningand developing growthstrategy in conjunction  with product, consumersegment, and market research.
  • Apply researchskills to accomplish business objectives. Analyse data, search for trends,develop key findings, conclusions and indicated actions from qualitative/quantitative consumer and customer research
  • Search and spin global best practices for go to market processes and approach
  • Compile briefsand reports on competitor intelligence, including insights around detailed positioning of products and segment propositions

Brand Management

  • Provide expertise to the company with brand development and maintain anawareness of any relevant developments in the field
  • Provide supportin the development of advertising/communication conceptsin support of  brand-building initiatives that can be successfully executed in the marketplace
  • Develop and execute brand-specific promotions based on needs and lifestyle to achievemarket objectives (i.e.acquire new customers and stimulate usage     amongst existing customers)
  • Coordinate all relevant stakeholders to ensure campaigns are successfully implemented for all propositions
  • Develop initiatives to increase customers’ satisfaction
  • Contribute to the understanding of the financial strength of key projects involving changes in customer numbers, cost of product/service delivery, marketing spends, revenue per customer (where applicable), returnon investment etc.
  • Liaise with vendors to develop high-quality merchandise that will be used to drive brand management objectives. 

Requirements

Education Qualification:    

  • BSc in anyrelevant degree (Communications, English or journalism) 
  • Master's in Business Administration, Marketing or any other relevant discipline is desirable.

Professional Qualification:    

  • Membership of a professional association is desirable but not mandatory (CIM, NIM, PR)
  • Certification in marketing-related courses is an added advantage. 

Experience    

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in corporate advertising, public relations, marketing, brand management, and communications, 
  • Product or industry-specific experience is an added advantage.
