Established in 2010 and incorporated in 2011, Grassroot Lifesavings Outreach (Lesgo) exist to partner with government and relevant agencies to promote and strengthen humanitarian law and a universal principle that seeks to honor the dignity of mankind with support and believe that Life is worth living and living well. We are an impartial, neutral, and independent non-governmental organization whose sole mission is to improve the quality of life in underserved communities by empowering them to understand and protect their lives, as well as their environment, in order to ensure safe habitation using participatory methodologies.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Engagement Officer to join our response team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading community engagement activities, ensuring affected communities are informed, participated, and empowered throughout the response.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement community engagement strategies and plans.
- Establish and maintain relationships with community leaders, groups, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate community meetings, focus groups, and other engagement activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information to affected communities
- Support community-led initiatives and capacity building.
- Monitor and report on community engagement activities and feedback.
Requirements:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Social Work, Community Development, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in community engagement, participation, or social mobilization.
- Strong knowledge of community engagement principles, methods, and tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and community engagement skills.
- Ability to work in challenging environments and under pressure.
- Fluency in English, Hausa and local languages an asset.
