The Board of Geoplex comprises well-placed Nigerians with extensive executive experience, manifesting in the emergence of a preferred service provider The Management Team comprises persons with direct experience in the provision of Measurements and Logging While Drilling, Directional Drilling, Gyro Surveys and Electric Wireline Logging services, in collaboration with its Foreign Technical Partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong, respectful relationships with community leaders, youth groups, stakeholders, and local government representatives.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all community-related matters, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Promote Company as a partner of choice within the host community.
- Support the implementation of community engagement strategies and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
- Monitor community dynamics and provide regular reports on issues, risks, and opportunities.
- Represent the company at community meetings, cultural events, and stakeholder forums.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and ensure alignment between company operations and community expectations.
Requirements:
- Must be an indigene of Burutu Community, Delta State.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in public relations, Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably as a CLO or in community engagement within the oil and gas sector.
- Strong knowledge of local customs, culture, and community structures.
- Demonstrated experience in public relations, stakeholder engagement, and conflict resolution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
