Hallmark Leadership Initiative (HALI) is a registered non-governmental and non-profit civil society organization based in Maiduguri, Borno State. Committed to mitigating the challenges faced by marginalized and vulnerable populations, HALI operates in response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Northeastern Nigeria caused by the Boko Haram insurgency and subsequent food security crisis.
Job Description
- The Community Mobilizers will engage communities to support the implementation of HALI’s programs, ensuring active participation and feedback.
Responsibilities
- Community Outreach and Sensitization: Conduct outreach activities to raise awareness of HALI’s programs, including information sessions and community meetings to explain program objectives, beneficiary selection criteria, and planned activities.
- Engage with religous leaders, community leaders and community members to promote program activities.
- Conduct awareness campaigns and organize community meetings.
- Facilitate the participation of communities in project design and implementation.
- Collect feedback from community members to inform project improvements.
- Work closely with program staff to ensure activities are culturally appropriate.
- Build trust within communities to ensure high levels of participation and foster a sense of ownership and responsibility for program success

- Ensure that all program activities are accessible to all genders, promoting inclusive participation.
- Respect and advocate for gender equality and equitable access to resources and opportunities in the community.

- Coordination with Local Leaders: Collaborate with community leaders to gain support and alignment for project activities. Ensure that local stakeholders are informed and involved in program planning and implementation.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in community mobilization, outreach, or a related role in humanitarian or development settings.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; knowledge of community engagement techniques; basic understanding of peace buildingand livelihoods.
- Additional: Familiarity with the local language and culture; experience working in rural or remote communities is an asset.
