Job Summary

They are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Computing, Networking, and IT Support Instructor to teach foundational and advanced concepts in IT systems, networking, and technical support. The ideal candidate will have real-world experience in IT and a passion for empowering learners with the skills needed to thrive in technology support roles. You will deliver hands-on instruction, foster student engagement, and prepare students for industry-standard certifications.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver courses on computing, networking, and IT support, covering topics such as:
Operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
Networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Hardware troubleshooting and repair
IT support best practices and customer service
Cloud technologies and virtualization (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware)
Cybersecurity basics and IT compliance
Create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that simulate real-world IT environments.
Prepare students for certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar credentials.
Adapt instructional methods to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with little or no prior technical experience.
Provide personalized feedback and support to help students succeed academically and professionally.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure course content aligns with industry standards and emerging technologies.
Stay updated on IT trends and incorporate relevant advancements into the curriculum.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in IT, networking, and/or technical support roles.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts, operating systems, and hardware/software troubleshooting.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or equivalent.
Experience teaching or mentoring in a professional or academic setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
Experience with teaching platforms and tools (e.g., virtual labs, simulation software).
Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
Knowledge of emerging technologies like IoT, cloud computing, or cybersecurity.
