Broadoaks British School is an all-through international school located in the prestigious Maitama district of Abuja, Nigeria. Established in 2016, the school offers education from reception to year 10 (expanding to year 11 in 2025), following the national curriculum for England and Wales, iGCSE, and Cambridge checkpoints. The school also has a dedicated SEN department, and an early years section called Teenee Todd's Day Nursery for children aged 3 months to 4 years, which follows the EYFS curriculum.

The Role

The Content and Digital Media Officer will be responsible for developing engaging and strategic digital content across multiple platforms, including social media, the school website, and newsletters. The role requires creativity, attention to detail, and an understanding of marketing trends in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a content strategy that supports marketing and enrollment goals.
  • Manage social media channels, ensuring consistent brand voice, visuals, and tone.
  • Create high-quality written, visual, and video content for internal and external communication.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to highlight events, achievements, and initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyse digital engagement metrics to improve reach and performance.
  • Support design and production of marketing materials such as newsletters, brochures, and adverts.
  • Maintain the school’s website and digital archives to ensure up-to-date, accurate information.
  • Coordinate with photographers and videographers for school events and campaigns.
  • Uphold brand guidelines and ensure alignment with the school’s values of Excellence, Integrity, Discipline, and Respect.

The Candidate

We are looking for a creative and organised professional who:

  • Holds a degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Media, or a related field.
  • Has at least 3 years of experience in content development, digital marketing, or media management.
  • Demonstrates strong skills in writing, graphic design, and video editing (Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar tools).
  • Is familiar with social media analytics, SEO, and online advertising tools.
  • Is an excellent communicator with a strong sense of initiative and collaboration.
  • Has previous experience working in an educational or service-oriented organisation (preferred).
