Job Summary:

  • Our client is seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead its team.
  • The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, optimizing processes, and ensuring the seamless delivery of our payment services while possessing a blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and leadership acumen to lead our company through its next phase of growth.
  • He or She will be responsible for ensuring the business delivers on its promises to clients, including uptime and that customer feedback is always excellent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize performance, improve scalability, and enhance customer experience.
  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including transaction processing, customer service, risk management, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation, driving operational excellence throughout the organization.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and operational KPIs, providing regular insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, maintaining a strong focus on security, privacy, and data protection.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including banks, payment networks, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Drive the execution of strategic initiatives and business development opportunities, working closely with the CEO and other members of the executive team.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and market developments in the payments industry, leveraging insights to inform decision-making and drive innovation.
  • Represent the company externally, participating in industry events, conferences, and thought leadership initiatives to enhance our reputation and visibility in the market.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management, preferably in the payments or financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of driving operational efficiency, process improvement, and organizational growth.
  • Strong understanding of payment processing technologies, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • A strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
