- The Copywriter / Social Media Manager is responsible for developing compelling brand stories and managing the company’s digital and social media presence across platforms. This hybrid role requires both creative writing expertise and strategic digital management skills to craft engaging, brand-aligned content that drives awareness, engagement, and conversion.
- The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, storyteller, and trend-savvy professional who can ideate, write, edit, and distribute impactful content while building and managing a cohesive brand identity across all online channels.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Copywriting
- Write, edit, and proofread clear, compelling, and original copy for multiple platforms, including social media, websites, blogs, newsletters, marketing campaigns, and video scripts.
- Collaborate with designers, videographers, and the creative team to develop high-impact campaigns and multimedia content.
- Ensure all content aligns with the brand’s tone, style, and messaging guidelines.
- Translate complex ideas into relatable, audience-friendly stories and captions.
- Create SEO-driven web and blog content to improve organic visibility and audience engagement.
- Adapt messaging for various formats long-form storytelling, ad copy, taglines, and short-form captions.
Social Media Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand visibility, engagement, and audience growth.
- Plan, create, and schedule content across platforms such as Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Monitor trends, conversations, and competitor activity to inform creative direction and optimize performance.
- Engage actively with online audiences — respond to comments, messages, and brand mentions in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to run campaigns, contests, influencer collaborations, and live activations.
- Maintain a consistent posting calendar and ensure content relevance to current events and brand campaigns.
Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Monitor key performance metrics (engagement rates, impressions, follower growth, reach, etc.) and prepare regular social media performance reports.
- Use insights and analytics to refine strategies, identify opportunities, and improve audience engagement.
- Stay updated with platform algorithm changes, trends, and emerging best practices.
Brand Voice & Campaign Execution
- Maintain a unified brand tone and personality across all digital communications.
- Contribute to the creative development of advertising and marketing campaigns (concept development, taglines, scripts, etc.).
- Collaborate with internal departments (Agency, Studios, and Phoenix Project) to develop content that supports cross-functional campaigns and initiatives.
- Support external brand partnerships by creating promotional and partnership copy.
Digital Coordination & Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the creative team to ensure cohesive storytelling between visuals and copy.
- Support the production team with scriptwriting for social videos, short films, and branded content.
- Assist with content uploads and asset management for websites, newsletters, and streaming platforms.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience as a Copywriter, Social Media Manager, or similar role in an agency, media, or creative environment.
- Proven experience managing social media accounts and delivering measurable results.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Strong understanding of brand communication, tone, and audience segmentation.
- Familiarity with SEO, analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, etc.), and content scheduling platforms (Hootsuite, Later, Buffer, or Sprout Social).
- Basic graphic or video editing skills are an added advantage (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, etc.).
