We are seeking a talented and passionate Core Network Engineer for our client who will be responsible for ensuring availability, stability, and smooth running of the Bank's core network; plan and design network architectures to achieve the same, as well as implement network projects geared towards growth and stability of the network across all Data centers owned by the Bank.
Job Description
- Maintain and administer core networks and related computing environments.
- Monitor performance of Core and critical network devices on a daily basis
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network incidents/problems in all Data centers owned by the Bank (Primary DC, DR DC & Cloud DCs)
- Perform regular checks on network hardware and software.
- Design, configure, and test networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software
- Diagnose and troubleshoot network errors within the Core (Data center, extranet & Internet segments) Network.
- Create accurate network diagrams required for documentation of designs and planning network communication systems.
- Manage and plan IP addresses within all segment of the network.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of the core network infrastructure with other systems and applications.
- Keep up with the latest trends and developments in networking technologies to ensure that the organization’s core structure is up-to-date and can support future growth and expansion.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- First degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing & Switching
- Cisco Certified Network Professional Enterprise
- Azure Network Engineer Associate, and F5 Networks Certified Technology Specialist are mandatory certifications.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional Data Center, AWS certified Solutions Architect, AWS and Certified Advanced Networking are an added advantage
- 2+ years of experience in network administration or a related field
