ipNX Nigeria Limited is a leading provider of infrastructure-based Telecommunications and Information Technology services here in Nigeria. Leveraging more than a decade of experience, the company was formed by the divestment of the telecommunications services division of Telnet Nigeria Limited and has been in operation for many years. ipNX currently provides a range of communications and IT services to Corporate organizations within Nigeria on its IP (Internet Protocol) based communications network using both radio and satellite communications technologies. As part of its growth strategy, ipNX seeks to also extend its services to small and medium sized businesses and residential customers. In the long term, ipNX has determined that it needs also to have a strategic presence in the wire line market to ensure that we will be able to provide future services, which require high bandwidth in the last mile.

Job Summary:  

This role is to drive the organization's data-driven decision-making by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets. As a key member of our team, the incumbent will collaborate with cross -functional teams to identify business needs, design data solutions, and implement strategies for effective data management. From constructing data pipelines to generating actionable insights, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping the organization's data infrastructure. The successful candidate will leverage ad vanced analytical skills, programming proficiency, and a strategic mindset to contribute to the optimization of processes and support informed business strategies. 

Responsibilities: 

• Develop and implement robust data collection processes, ensuring accuracy through regular validation checks. 
• Design and maintain databases to store and retrieve data efficiently. Optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity. 
• Utilize statistical methods and tools to analyze large datasets. Interpret trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing actionable insights for decision-making. 
• Implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to transform raw data into usable formats. Streamline and automate data workflows for efficiency. 
• Create visually compelling reports and dashboards using tools like Google Looker Studio, Zoho Analytics, Power BI, and other data visualization platforms. Communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
• Work closely with teams from various departments to understand their data needs. Collaborate on projects and provide data-driven insights to support business goals. 
• Monitor data systems for performance and efficiency. Identify opportunities for optimization and implement improvements to enhance overall data processing. 
• Document data processes, methodologies, and best practices. Share knowledge within the team and contribute to the development of a robust data knowledge base. 

Qualifications and skills: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. 
• Post Graduate Degree (MBA, M.Sc., etc.) an added advantage.  
• Certifications will be an added advantage.

Work Experience: 

• Experience in extracting, cleaning, and analyzing data to generate actionable insights. Proficient in creating reports and dashboards for various stakeholders.  
•  Proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining databases. Knowledgeable in database optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting.  
•  Hands-on experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, ensuring efficient data transformation and integration across systems.  
•  Proficient in creating compelling visualizations using tools such as Google Looker Studio, Zoho Analytics, Power BI, and other data visualization platforms. Ability to communicate complex findings through visual representation.  
•  Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams from various departments, understanding their data needs, and providing valuable insights.  
•  Managed and prioritized multiple data-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and meeting business objectives.  
•  Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high quality results within deadlines.
