Job Purpose

  • We are currently seeking an experienced Data Scientist to work on big data and data science projects that gather and integrate large volumes of data, perform analysis, interpret results and patterns and develop actionable insights and recommendations to inform decision making and enhance maintenance.
  • To act as a strategic thought partner for cross-functional teams to both generate and evaluate the viability and impact of new data models and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Fully knowledgeable in computer language
  • Consult and educate stakeholders on methods for streamlining and standardizing data recording to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Empower key stakeholders to access reliable, clean, business data by emphasizing quality and best practices, identifying and implementing improvements to company equipment data pipeline such as better documentation, anomaly detection, alerting and instrumentation.
  • Support creation of machine learning algorithms by applying standard statistical analysis or data preparation methods.
  • Collate and analyze data using pre-set tools, methods and formats.
  • Conduct industry benchmarking to identify improvement opportunities, data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning related trends and best practices and implement them to optimize revenue growth.
  • Assist in building and prototype analysis pipelines iteratively, including analytics algorithms, business enablers and models related to predictive analytics, acquisition, lifecycle stage and data acquisition processes.
  • Develop dashboards, visualizations, and analytical summaries to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assist in designing and implementing data pipelines and workflows to improve data quality and accessibility.
  • Apply statistical and analytical techniques to support research, monitoring, and evaluation activities.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports, data briefs, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on emerging tools, technologies, and best practices in data science and analytics.

Requirements

  • University First Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or related fields.
  • Good Communication skills Inquisitiveness
  • At least 5 years' relevant experience in Analytical roles ideally within any field as data scientist/analyst including a minimum of 3 years in data science.
