Job Brief

  • We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to play a key role in our IT operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing our continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise our development processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance system reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Monitor and analyse system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure security best practices are implemented throughout the development and deployment process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve development processes and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Solid experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Ruby.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Understanding of version control systems (Git) and collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Kubernetes Certified Administrator are a plus.
