Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with software development teams to understand application requirements and deployment needs.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds, testing, and deployment processes while considering GDPR and NDPR compliance.
  • Implement and manage containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for secure and compliant application deployment.
  • Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts and configurations to automate infrastructure provisioning, adhering to data protection regulations.
  • Monitor system performance, perform regular security audits, and ensure high availability while complying with data protection requirements.
  • Execute system updates, patch management, and security enhancements with GDPR and NDPR guidelines in mind.
  • Enforce and enhance data security through access control, encryption, and best practices, ensuring data privacy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software releases are GDPR and NDPR-compliant.
  • Evaluate and implement DevOps tools and technologies that align with data protection and compliance requirements.
  • Document processes, configurations, and compliance measures to ensure accountability and transparency.
  • Provide support for production systems and participate in on-call rotations to address and resolve incidents within the GDPR and NDPR framework.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on data protection and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) in a compliant environment.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible) with GDPR and NDPR in mind.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts within GDPR and NDPR regulations.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack) with a focus on data protection.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
