Position Summary:
- The Digital Media Intern will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our social media strategy to enhance our online presence, increase brand awareness, and drive engagement with our target audience.
- This role requires a highly motivated individual with a passion for social media, excellent communication skills, and a keen understanding of current social media trends and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with ThinkMint Nigeria’s marketing and business goals.
- Identify target audience and determine the best platforms and content strategies to engage them.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.
- Content Creation and Management:
- Create, curate, and manage engaging content (text, images, videos, and other multimedia) for all social media platforms.
- Develop a content calendar and schedule posts to ensure consistent and timely updates across all channels.
- Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments to produce high-quality, relevant content that aligns with the company’s brand voice and messaging.
Community Engagement:
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and interactions on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
- Foster a positive and engaging online community by actively participating in conversations and building relationships with followers.
- Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints effectively to ensure a positive brand experience.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics, including engagement, reach, impressions, and conversion rates.
- Use data insights to optimize content and strategies, and make data-driven decisions to improve overall social media performance.
- Provide regular reports to the Marketing Director and other stakeholders on social media activities and results.
Advertising and Promotions:
- Plan and execute paid social media advertising campaigns to boost visibility, reach, and engagement.
Brand Consistency and Compliance:
- Ensure all social media content adheres to ThinkMint Nigeria’s brand guidelines and maintains a consistent brand voice.
- Stay informed about legal and regulatory requirements related to social media marketing and ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Degree from a recognized and reputable institution.
- In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) and their best practices.
- Strong creative and writing skills with the ability to produce engaging and high-quality content.
- Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
