About the job
- Formulate and execute the enhancement requirement hardware roadmap for the business.
- Supervise the effective support and Implementation of hardware embedded systems.
- Carry out designs, development, tests, and maintenance of embedded IoT systems.
- Hardware Prototype Engineering Design and development for IoT based solutions
Regular/daily duties.
- Design and build embedded systems, including embedded system firmware.
- Test and debug the systems.
- Partner with R&D Product Lines to drive the Edge and Gateway IoT development strategy and architecture.
- Work with our existing team of hardware and embedded engineers to deliver advanced AIOT solutions.
- Shape and define the architecture and development strategy for the IoT device SDK.
- Be the subject matter expert in communication protocols, for example: IoT Protocols: MQTT, REST APIs, DDS, AMQP
- Monitor and maintain the system after development.
- Improve system efficiency and stability after development.
- Collaborate with customers to create systems based on their needs.
- Provide the technical insights to the team for their training and development and to solve issues that arise in our customer engagements globally with the goal of ensuring customer delight.
Educational Qualification:
- B.Eng. Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- B.sc Computer Engineering
- HND in Electrical Electronics Engineering
Professional Qualification:
- Corporate Member Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria
- Corporate Member, Nigeria Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE).
Experience:
- Proficient with AWS or Azure cloud computing environments.
- Proficient with edge computing principles and architecture.
- Agile Application Development & Scrum methodologies
