Job Description
- Resolve, repair and Install fiber optic infrastructure and upgrade existing ones.
- Performing troubleshooting on fiber optic network to identify points of failure and provide solutions
- Execute premises cabling and take care of the underground and underwater cabling requirements
- Examine and replace faulty and old fiber optic cables and also organize scheduled maintenance routines
- Maintain accurate records of fiber optics network installation, splicing activities, test results, and equipment inventory.
- Generate reports detailing project progress, performance metrics, and any deviation from project plans.
Requirements
- Experience in fiber optic maintenance, installation and design.
- OND, HND or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information communication technology or related field.
- Good understanding of Fiber tools such as Splicing machine, OTDR, VFL.
- proficiency in fiber optic splicing, termination and testing techniques.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Relevant certifications a plus.
