Job Summary
- We are looking for GCP Architect designs, builds, and manages secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions on Google Cloud Platform, translating business needs into technical blueprints, guiding cloud adoption, ensuring best practices (security, governance, cost optimization), and collaborating with dev/ops teams for implementation, migration, and continuous improvement using tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, and Big Query, while also mentoring teams and creating technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee deployment, managing migrations (e.g., from on-prem to GCP), and hands-on work with IaaS/PaaS services.
- Implement security frameworks, ensuring adherence to policies, and managing Identity & Access Management (IAM).
- Manage networking (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancing).
- Configure and maintain storage and databases (Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery).
- Implement security best practices (IAM, service accounts, encryption).
- Monitor system performance, availability, and costs.
- Automate deployments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues.
- Document architecture and operational procedures.
Qualifcations
- A Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Solid understanding of GCP core services:
- Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run
- VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud DNS
- Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery
- Experience with IAM and cloud security principles
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Experience with monitoring and logging (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging).
Salary
N500,000 monthly.
