Head of Digital Media at Megalectrics

MEGALECTRICS LIMITED is a reputable and wholly owned indigenous company with its headquarters in Lagos. The company was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in July of 2001. Megalectrics was in 2007, granted a Radio Broadcast Licence for Lagos. The company is presently operating three (3) radio stations from our 26, Keffi Street, Ikoyi office. And recently, 2 new stations (The Beat 97.9FM and Naija FM 102.7) were set up in Ibadan, Oyo State; making five (5) radio stations operated by Megalectrics Ltd. The Beat 97.9FM has since April 2013 commenced broadcast, while we await the approval of the apex broadcast body in Nigeria – National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) for Naija FM to go on air as soon as possible. These radio stations appeal to different demographics and psychographics.

 

 

Job Summary:

As the Head of Digital Media, you will be responsible for leading our digital media strategy and driving innovation in the rapidly evolving landscape of digital content consumption. You will oversee the development and execution of digital media initiatives across multiple platforms to engage our audience, enhance our brand presence, and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive digital media strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives and audience preferences.
  2. Lead a team of digital media professionals, including content creators, editors, designers, and social media managers, to produce high-quality digital content across various formats and platforms.
  3. Drive audience growth and engagement through effective content distribution strategies, including SEO, social media, email marketing, and partnerships with influencers and content creators.
  4. Monitor digital media trends and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for innovation and growth.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, sales, and technology, to integrate digital media initiatives into broader company initiatives and campaigns.
  6. Analyze and report on key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of digital media initiatives and inform decision-making.
  7. Manage digital media budgets and resources effectively to achieve desired outcomes within allocated resources.
  8. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including copyright laws, privacy regulations, and advertising standards, in all digital media activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in digital media management, preferably in the broadcasting or entertainment industry, with a track record of driving audience growth and engagement.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals and deliver high-quality results.
  • Excellent understanding of digital media technologies, platforms, and trends, including social media, streaming services, and digital advertising.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools and platforms to track and measure the performance of digital media initiatives.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative digital media strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
