Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Service Delivery department, in alignment with organizational goals.
- Support the mentoring, coaching, and development of team members to cultivate a culture of continuous learning, growth, and accountability.
- Facilitate collaboration, teamwork, and knowledge sharing among all units within the department.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels within the team and with other departments across the organization.
- Oversee the technical operations of DevOps Engineering, Systems Engineering, SQL Development, DB Administration, and Cloud (AWS) SysOps units.
- Ensure the implementation of best practices, standards, and methodologies across all technical functions.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to contribute to innovation and efficiency within the department.
- Collaborate with other technical and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Deliver high-quality, reliable, and scalable services to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track the performance of the department and individual units.
- Support the implementation of service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure adherence to service standards and commitments.
- Contribute to the proactive identification and resolution of issues, risks, and bottlenecks that may impact service delivery.
- Automation and Efficiency Initiatives:
- Support initiatives to automate repetitive tasks, streamline processes, and enhance operational efficiency across all units.
- Promote the adoption of DevOps principles and practices to accelerate software delivery and infrastructure management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize automation tools, technologies, and frameworks.
- Assist in managing relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effective delivery of services.
- Contribute to the development and management of departmental budgets, ensuring effective resource utilization and adherence to financial targets.
- Evaluate and recommend investments in tools, technologies, and resources to support the department's objectives.
PII Control:
- Collection of personal information from customers, site visitors, and other targets
- Must determine the process and methods by which the PII data are collected from customers
- Must determine the specific type of PII data to be collected
- Must ensure all changes and modifications of PII data are effectively done
- Must determine where and how to use the PII data and for a specified purpose
- Must ensure effective storage of all PII data in-house and when to share with third parties
- Must determine the retention period for all PII data collected.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience (3 years) in a technical leadership role within service delivery or technical operations in a dynamic environment.
- Solid technical background with knowledge of DevOps, systems engineering, database administration, cloud infrastructure, and automation technologies.
- Experience collaborating with and leading teams of technical professionals, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to support and inspire others.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, facilitating data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, ITIL) is advantageous.
- Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices is beneficial.
