Job Description
- Our client is in urgent need of a seasoned professional to head the Media and Communications team.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the major interface to manage and deliver the organisation’s media and marketing strategy.
- Managing the production and communication of all marketing and communication materials.
- Commissioning or conducting market research per project.
- Managing all proactive and reactive media relations including developing strong relationships with industry press contacts.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams – from creative, I.T and production to client services and legal – to produce effective promotional materials.
- Coordinating with and managing agency partners.
- Creating marketing presentations for stakeholders.
- Obtaining necessary consent and providing final approval on all marketing collateral, products and promotions alongside management.
- Proactively identifying opportunities for engagement and influence by being current with developments that relate to all key stakeholders and partners.
- Developing schedules, maintaining and monitoring deadlines.
- Collaborating with key industry stakeholders – clients, government, media agencies, and relevant partner organisations.
- Coordinating the organisation’s participation at various events, trade fairs, expositions and exhibitions, conferences, and CSR projects.
- Acting as subject matter expert to management on issues related to brand and reputation management and providing recommendations on appropriate responses or course of action.
Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field (Master's Degree will be an added advantage).
- Minimum of 7 years of managerial experience in the corporate communications / public relations field (property / real estate sector experience will be an added advantage).
- Exceptional research, writing, editing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong diplomatic and persuasive skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage reputational risk.
