Responsibilities:
Event Production Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end production process for all events, from pre-production planning to post-event evaluations.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to understand event requirements and develop appropriate production plans.
- Ensure seamless execution of event logistics, including venue selection, staging and lighting, audiovisual equipment, décor, and production timelines.
- Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors, and monitor expenses to deliver events within budget.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of production professionals, including event producers, coordinators, technicians, and other support staff.
- Assign tasks, provide guidance, and monitor the team's performance to ensure high-quality event delivery.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promote professional growth, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure the availability of quality services and products.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable services.
- Conduct regular assessments of vendor performance and make necessary adjustments as needed.
Technical Production and Innovation:
- Stay updated on the latest event production trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the seamless integration of audiovisual, lighting, staging, and other technical elements into event productions.
- Continuously improve event production processes through innovation and the implementation of new technologies or techniques.
Risk Management and Troubleshooting:
- Anticipate and proactively mitigate potential risks associated with event production.
- Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen circumstances and troubleshoot issues that may arise during events.
- Adhere to regulatory and safety standards, ensuring all necessary permits and licenses are obtained as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in event management, production, or a related field (or equivalent working experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in event production, including experience in managing and leading a team.
- Strong understanding of event production principles, including staging, audiovisual, lighting, décor, and logistics.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale events with various stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Budget management and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in event production software and tools.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
