Job Summary:
The Head of Strategy will play a critical role in shaping W2A’s long-term direction, optimizing resource allocation, and driving sustainable growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of finance, business development, and market dynamics. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure financial strategies align with organizational goals while identifying cost-saving opportunities, revenue streams, and investment prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute W2A’s strategic plans to ensure long-term growth and sustainability.
- Collaborate with senior management to set clear, measurable strategic goals for the organization.
- Align financial resources with strategic priorities, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Design actionable roadmaps for achieving strategic objectives across all departments.
- Monitor and evaluate strategic projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and deliver measurable outcomes.
Financial Strategy and Resource Optimization:
- Work closely with the Finance Department to evaluate budgets and financial forecasts.
- Identify opportunities to cut costs, reallocate funds, and maximize operational efficiency.
- Analyze financial data and market trends to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Propose innovative funding and investment strategies to support strategic initiatives.
- Develop cost-saving measures without compromising on quality or productivity.
Business Development and Growth Initiatives:
- Identify new revenue streams, business opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
- Create and present business cases for investments and growth initiatives.
- Build relationships with stakeholders, investors, and key partners to drive strategic objectives.
- Explore new markets and sectors aligned with W2A’s growth priorities.
- Spearhead initiatives to attract foreign investment and business collaborations.
Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth market research to understand industry trends and competitor activities.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities in the external business environment.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on data analysis and market insights.
- Develop strategies to ensure W2A remains competitive and agile in a dynamic market landscape.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Work with department heads to ensure their plans align with organizational strategy.
- Guide teams in implementing strategic initiatives effectively.
- Act as a liaison between Finance and other departments to ensure smooth execution of financial plans supporting strategic objectives.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure strategic outcomes.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on strategic progress and outcomes.
Continuously track, evaluate, and refine strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with goals.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or management consulting.
- Strong background in financial analysis, planning, and modeling.
- Experience in developing and implementing organizational growth strategies.
- Proven track record in resource optimization and financial decision-making.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in financial tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI) for analysis and modeling.
- Strong experience with data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Knowledge of trade, investment, and business development trends.
